Transport SA is responsible for managing transport assets with a replacement value in excess of $6 billion. Asset sustainment is one of our key priorities for 2002-2005.

We strive to keep our transport network in excellent condition and work towards

• improving the overall safety of the transport system
• reducing the impact of transport on the environment
• delivering the best and most efficient customer service.

To fulfil our role of creating, improving and renewing transport system assets, Transport SA manages an extensive portfolio of infrastructure and non-infrastructure projects.

These projects involve a broad range of issues, stakeholders and participants and are implemented across all transport modes – road, rail, marine and aviation.

Minor projects continually improve State-wide road infrastructure.
