Fatigue Management

This course provides employers, drivers and employees with the skills and knowledge that they need to combat driver fatigue. It must be completed by

  • all drivers participating in the  Basic Fatigue Management and Advanced Fatigue Management schemes
  • any employees who are responsible for driver rostering and trip scheduling
  • the employer, or designated person, responsible for fatigue management of staff.

Names of approved training organisations are available from any Customer Service Centre.

Audits by Department for Transport, Energy and Infrastructure

Department for Transport, Energy and Infrastructure may audit an employer’s, or self-employed drivers, system at any time and may, by written notice, request the employer to provide the information referred to under ‘Employer’s obligations’
